Salmon -

Our Salmon trips depart at 6:00 am and return between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. The primary technique we use is mooching with a cut plug herring. The limit is two salmon One of which may be a Chinook also known as king salmon or two Coho which must be a marked hatchery fish. Your fish will be cleaned on the boat by our crew free of charge and placed in our refrigerated fish hold at 33 degrees. The Rampage is the only boat in Westport with a refrigerated fish hold. We stress fish care after all who wants to eat a fish that has sat in a warm fish box all day. If you are bringing your own tackle we recommend a 7-8 foot mooching rod and a reel spooled with 20-30 pound test monofilament line You will need a few Mooching sinkers 4, 5 or 6 oz we recommend bringing 2 or 3 each you never know how fast the current will be flowing. We also recommend 3/0- 4/0 solid tie salmon mooching leaders in #30 test. Sinkers and leaders are available at the office for sale We supply all tackle should you decide to rent a rod. We can supply you a quality rod and tackle for $10. Most offices Charge you for tackle even if you bring your own. We charge separate, after all why charge you for something you are not using. All we ask is that there is no braided line and no styrofoam ice chests.

   Rock Fish and Ling Cod
Also known as bottom fishing - Our bottom fishing trips depart at 6:00 a.m. and return around 3:00 p.m. Typically we start the day catching Rock fish with light tackle. Our goal is to fish suspended fish on reefs and rocks with light tackle usually we catch fish in the top 50 feet of water. Once we have caught our 10 fish limit on these delicious fish we spend the rest of the day targeting bigger ling cod. The limit on Ling Cod is 2.  For tackle we recommend just renting our gear but you are welcome to bring your own but to keep things uniform we prefer you use our light tackle for rock fish. Bait varies when live bait is available we use that other wise we use plastics like grubs or fish traps also small iron jigs like a 2 oz point defiance dart. Many times ling cod are caught on fish traps while fishing for rock fish. We have a good selection of these at our office. For ling cod you will need 4- 12 oz banana sinkers and a #40 mooching leader with 4/0 – 5/0 hooks. If, you are renting our rods this will be supplied for you. Filet fees are $8.00 for a limit of rock and $2.00 for each ling cod.  All we ask is that there is no braided line and no styrofoam ice chests.
Halibut - Our Halibut trips leave at 3:30 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Typical halibut range anywhere between 25 and 100 pounds. Tackle is included. Your fish can be filleted by our crew for $4. Time permitting after catching all our halibut we spend the rest of the day targeting rock fish.
Multi Day Albacore Tuna - Our two day tuna trips depart Westport in the evening Between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. and return two days later around 3:00 p.m. There is no limit on these fantastic eating fish except by how many the boat can hold. But we urge everyone to be responsible and not kill what you can not use. We enjoy a world class Albacore fishery and want it to stay that way for future generations. Our two day trip average over the last 4 year, is around 18 per person. We typically troll until we locate the fish then switch to live bait. If you have never experienced the thrill of hooking up with these strong fighting fish then wait no longer. Breakfast and dinner are included. Fish can be filleting is $4.00 per fish. You are welcome to bring your own tackle we recommend a  6' to 7’ medium action rod rated for #20 to #40. Most experienced anglers will bring several rods one for casting plastics one for dropping irons and a couple bait rods with different line sizes. #25 to #40. Although it is not necessary, but you will learn that there are many ways to catch these fish.  All we ask is that there is no braided line and no styrofoam ice chests.
Tipping - If you feel your crew did a good job then a tip is always appreciated. A typical tip is just like any other service. 15%-20%
